Edible Panties Improperly Used as Metaphor During SpeechNewark, NJ Harold Kreskin, a senior marketing analyst at Forrester, Forrester and Blatz was admonished for using edible panties as a metaphor during a presentation to the board of directors.
Kreskin has been known in the industry for his offbeat style and strained metaphors. "They are amusing... They catch you off guard," said another analyst. "Apparently, Harold's reputation led him to think that he had to top himself every time he writes or speaks." The metaphor in question went something like this: "When we view our demographics as a whole, we can think of these edible panties... If the panties are too small, then they'll never fit on the market. If they're too big, they'll fall right off. And no matter what, most people won't finish the portion of panties on the backside..." A hush fell on the room, broken by incredulous reactions, from "Well, I never!", various gasps, and an elderly female board member had a fainting spell and fell over backwards. Kreskin continued, "...so, what we have is an uneaten share of the market. A share of the market that nobody else will touch... I propose that we tie our dinner napkins around our necks and dig into the backside... Ignoring whatever smells and flavors we encounter that are different from the front half of the panties..." ending emphatically, "We MUST finish these panties!"
While half of the other board members were applying CPR to their fallen comrades, the other half were too shocked to say anything, though sources say one lone cough could be heard to echo throughout the board room.
