Key to the City Really Just Mayor's Hotel KeyBlattsburg, TN A Blattsburg, Tennessee woman was saddened to learn that the mayor's hotel key was not actually "the key to the city" as he had promised her. "I met Jim at my favorite bar," said the woman, referring to Blattsburg mayor Jimbo Johansson, "He was a real sweet talker and I took a shine to him like stink on manure. Before he left, he gave me a key to the Best Western down the street, winked and said 'key to the city, baby...'". Before leaving, he gave her a pat on the butt, which she mistakenly took as some part of the key-giving ceremony.
Later that night, she went to his hotel room where they had what she described as a pleasant but short sexual encounter. As she was bragging to her friends at work the following day, she was informed of her folly in assuming that she was somehow honored enough to have the key to the city. Somewhat disappointed, she replied "Now I wish I hadn't thrown all my other keys away."
