Rubik's Cube Fanatic Unaware of Hobby's Decline
Campbell, CAGlenn Hirschman is determined to stretch his fifteen minutes of fame. First seen by the national audience of "Real People" in October 1982, this "Rubik's Cube World Champion" continues to promote the game that brought the name "Hirschman" into the national vocabulary. After winning the tournaments that were staged by "Real People", "That's Incredible", "Donahue" and several international programs, Hirschman dropped out of site for several years. "I began to suffer from a rare disorder that is now known as carpel tunnel syndrome, but was called "Rubik's Palm" back in 1982" intimated Hirschman. "I went to several specialists who told me that I would never "cube" again and put me on severe pain-killers to which I became addicted. I have since overcome my addiction and wear a special brace on my right hand for "cubing". I'm back to record-breaking times."
Hirschman is planning to go on a comeback tour to coincide with the upcoming release of his new autobiography, "It's Hip to be Cubed". When asked if his book has a publisher, Hirschman stared blankly. When told that "Real People", "That's Incredible" and "Donahue" were now off the air, and that nobody gives a fuck about Rubik's Cubes anymore, Hirschman curled up in a ball and started singing loudly, "La La La La La La La La!"
