Child cries after watching Great Space Coaster rerunsNewark, NJ4-year-old Tommy Bronson tuned in to some reruns of the old children's show The Great Space Coaster from the 70's. After watching a good portion of an episode, the young boy began to scream and cry excessively for the rest of the afternoon. The show was disturbing the young one. Karen Bronson, Tommy's mother stated "I never really understood why kids watched that stupid show. It's so freaky; whoever made that show was on some serious drugs". Mrs. Bronson went on to claim she had to call in sick to work the next two days to console the child. Many episodes of Pokemon and Loony Tunes were watched to help repair the damage.
In a modern world of high-tech animation and video games in 3D, it's tough to find a place
for shows consisting of freaky puppets that bring nightmares to our beloved children.

When Tommy was interviewed about the show, it was obvious that the child was emotionally
scarred. "It's got puppets, but it's not funny!!!" the child bawled. One character, in
particular, named "MT", a sinister-looking man who plays practical jokes on the
rest of the cast, gave the child nightmares for a week. "And there's also this big fat
guy who dresses up in rainbow outfits. He's a big fat scary guy!" The child proceeded
to rock back and forth in his chair with his eyes shut and tears streaming down his
face.
